A: After conducting some research which helped the formation of the idea, I sketched the design and created the elevation, necessary structures and columns. When I began to see the shape of the building, I tested out the various positionings and simulated the design to determine whether it was user friendly and easy to build. One thing that I like is that Revit is comprehensive. It incorporates not only the technical drawing but also the presentation design. It makes it so much easier to design and to then present the design. It only took me one month, from beginning to end, to complete the project.

A: Yes, rendering — resolutions were low as my computer did not have enough memory to support huge files, hence the quality of the rendered images wasn’t too good. As a student, I couldn’t afford to get a bigger memory/RAM to accommodate huge files. So, I did the best I could and hoped the images turned out well. Since I’ve been using 3ds Max, to help solve the problem I combined Revit with 3ds Max and Sketchmax to produce better quality pictures. It turned out well!

A: It’s practical and can be built without much cost. The software helped me visualize my end design and whether or not it’s practical enough to be built.

A: I’ll be graduating soon and I hope to work in an architecture firm to gain more experience before achieving my dream of opening my own company specializing in 3D deisgn.
